I'm having a random period of intense anger and feel incredibly destructive. I want to rage at somebody and I've got no idea why. I just feel like arguing the f**k out of something without caring and inflicting the frustrations I experience from others onto them. This is bad, because I don't care for innocence in the matter. It's also addictive, in that I feel far more motivated whilst angry than I do in any other state.

I'm so f*****g sick of thinking about everything that bothers me and though I'm not the smartest around I sometimes wish I was a dumbfuck, so that I could at least relax. I feel like an overclocked CPU without sufficient cooling, but I never do anything about it. I am always too worried/CBF seeing somebody about anything because I don't want medication.

It's a f****n' joke, seriously. How can everyone else just relax and be happy going about their lives. Even people I know with anxiety and depression seem more relaxed than I am - yes, based on their actions, but they do things I would/could never bring myself to currently do.

I can't tell if the thoughts are fake (OCD) or not but I've been having a significant increase in suicidal thoughts while failing to reach my potential for the 5 billionth year in a row. I wish I could just die and have a timeout then resurrect later when I was relaxed. :|

And then after all this I have myself thinking about why anyone should help me, when I a largely have the personality of an as*hole. Most of my opinions here don't fit the positive mold that I so undeniably fail to understand.

I rarely post a rant thread but I honestly couldn't care less what anybody thinks of me based on my posts. Of course I feel compelled to care, but I seem to automatically ignore that.

Christ almighty.

Why not write about the causes of this angst, i.e. what's happened recently that you've had to deal with or is now over but you'd prepared yourself for dealing with? Or, have you just been watching the news?

BTW you can shout at me if it helps, even though I suspect composing the above has helped you feel calmer now

That sucks :( Are you being treated for any kind of depressive disorder? Depression in stereotyped as sadness, but it's pretty common to manifest as rage instead.

I often have rage caused by my sensory issues, but it only last for a short time.

"Depression is pretty common to manifest as rage"

That explains a lot.

CBT helps there.

Break things down into manageable chunks, don't do too much at once (esp. if feeling manic)

Write things down. Identify each problem and then write any solutions next to it. Then next time something is stressing you, you can read the earlier solutions and know you have a coping strategy already, you can relax and start to feel better.

Are there such things as "mind-altering" substances ?
Yes: Drugs & alcohol are an example (but are NOT limited to physical-substances).

Are such "mind-altering" influences capable of making you experience highly negative emotions ?
Yes, I believe they can, but here I am about to say something that may piss you off (due to the very "nature" of "contamination" via any possible "influence" that makes you feel rage & negative-emotions).

You are infected by some kind of "mind-altering" contamination.
For all I know it could be "corrupt radiation-particles" with "mind-altering" influence.

I am going to end this post with one last word instead of writing out any wall-of-text: psycho-tronic manipulation

Ah, so after calling me a psychopath, on my own thread, you in a way, admit you are one. How Ironical :)

From the greek roots psycho: mind, and path/y(from greek "passos": pain, suffering. So in the classic sense you are a psychopath.

Somebody mentioned depression, turning to rage.
If its deep enough it does turn to rage.
First-hand is superior to overpriced textbook.

Unfortunately,
There is wisdom from the old witch from the movie "Pumpkinhead",
Where she says: "There's no stopping it now, you have to let it play itself out. Go on home now." ** witch chuckles softly **

That's how a counselor found out I was suffering through Depression: I had an incident where someone stepped off a crosswalk one second after the hand came up and I almost jumped out of the car and wanted to attack them. The counselor told me that is a classic sign of male depression.

Sorry for this, but...

Judging by your username, then I'd wonder if was due to watching your peers act aggressively and violently on a regular basis. Sin bin, they should be sent off, full stop!

Great word "fan", meaning of course, "fanatic":
Quote:
fanatic
fəˈnatɪk/
noun: fanatic; plural noun: fanatics

1.
a person filled with excessive and single-minded zeal, especially for an extreme religious or political cause.

Correct, his counselor wasn't. His counselor made a simple statement based on a conclusion he reached in a straightforward manner, in turn based on some fundamental principles.

You are making fantasies out of usernames and words and assumptions.

There are countless reasons why he got out of his car in a rage, many nothing to do with depression. Also depression is used as a quick coverall.

If it was depression, what was the root of depression, his side always losing (generally at least 50% of the time)? Why did it lead to aggression and almost assault?

Its not a fantasy (love the pun though), the username contains information and almost confirms that the user is a fanatic, since that's what they chose as their fantasy name.

Oh, why have you jumped to the conclusion that the users councillor was a "he"?

* Almost didn't reply, so as not to further cause affray, but its bank holiday and up for a good bit of debate ;)

I sometimes get upset at people, based upon what I consider "right". Basically, that people are not treating each other fairly and are taking advantage of others. While I never wanted to attack them personally, if I noticed repeated incidence of violation, I would hope that karma would ultimately catch up with them.

I would have never guessed that this was a symptom of depression.
