i have few at the moment but I'd quite like some more and was wondering what your favourite ones were?

I currently have a trichew which is triangular chew toy with different textures on it, a fuzzy worm (the ones on the invisible string, they're lovely and soft) and I've knitted a snake with fuzzy wool and it's got plastic beans in it.

I like anything pliable and squishy; water-filled splat balls are fun, and I have a giant five pound "giant smiley stress ball" that's full of gel beads and great for squishing. I also like my lava lamp and my oil and water cube with the floating penguins in it. I can watch them sloshing back and forth for ages and it calms my mind down.

I would like more stim toys. I went to Stimtastic and couldn't decide what to purchase, mostly because I don't know what I'm most likely to actually use.
I have a silicone shape thing that isn't supposed to be a chew toy, but I chew on it. I play with my 'wedding' ring and my teeth more than anything else. I learned at a young age to only stim in ways that other people don't notice. More obvious stims, like chewing on stuff, are more effective for me, and I'm trying to learn to do it without shame.

I have a couple of "chewy tubes" that I bought off amazon, they are these two:

http://www.amazon.com/Chewy-Sitxx-Lolli ... ange+lolli

http://www.amazon.com/CHEWY-STIXX-JUNIO ... grape+tube

I prefer the grape tube because it's softer so it doesn't make my jaw ache as much, and the grape smell, while sweet and artificial, is relaxing. I carry it in my purse and chew on it when I'm anxious. I do it a lot walking down the halls at school, and I'm usually so busy thinking about my own thing that I don't really pay attention to whether other people are staring or not. If you want something a little more subtle than a tube, a lot of websites do chewy jewelry, which look like pendants (they're actually attractive too, they look like regular jewelry) but they're made of rubber, and you can chew on them. They make them for men too, and they're easy to hide under your shirt. I have a whole shoebox full of stim toys; most of them are tactile, but I collect all kinds because I never know what I'll gravitate towards or what my senses will need at a given time. You can play around and experiment to see what kinds of stim toys your brain lights up around. You don't have to buy them strictly from places marketing "special needs toys" either, as they can be quite expensive. I've found quite a lot of good stuff on amazon, and from officeplayground.com.

Handling my lanyard, my hands- flapping them. I like moving specific people's hands.

Thanks for the ideas.

The stimtastic site looks good. The chewy sharks look cool. As does the squishy ball.

I gravitated right to the chewy sharks. For some reason, I like the purple one. I've been lurking on Stimtastic for a few weeks, and I can't make myself pull the trigger and just order. Amazon has silicone chew necklaces by a company called Zen Rocks that look pretty cool. I want the water one; I would be all, "I'm a water-bender!"
Stimtastic has individual Tangle Jr.s and you can pick a color; Amazon has three Jr.s together and the color is random. Unlike. But Amazon also has the Tangle Relax, which has a rubbery coating and nubbly bits that might feel nice. But Stimtastic has the infinite popping edamame, which looks SO fun!

So, it's not an easy choice. I only want to order from one place, and I get free (sort of) 2-day shipping with Amazon because I have Prime.

The purple one is my favourite too. I think the other ones look very much like jewellery and don't really do jewellery that looks like jewellery.

I have some tangles somewhere, I bought two of the texture jr ones and put all the textured bits together, though I've misplaced it in my house.

The fuzzy and hairy tangle jrs are my favourites, I like to stroke them as the texture is very relaxing.

I don't know if this counts but I love sorting dried beans. And I like to chew on lollipop and popcycle sticks. I prefer the plastic sticks because they don't melt like paper with prolonged chewing or splinter like wood. I also use to chew pencils and the safety rail on my bunk bed.
