I'm still up at about 1:30 in the morning. Is there anyone who being up at this hour a normal thing?

I always tell myself to go to bed by midnight, but I rarely manage it. And 1.30am isn't that unusual. I currently know an Aspie who has been routinely staying up till about 5am and getting up around noon. When she returns to college she'll have to be up at 8.30am, so she needs to fix her habit or she'll be in deep trouble. Rather than force herself to have an early night, she's hoping that by going to bed later and later, she'll eventually get to midnight.

I usually go to bed after 2. Sometimes it's after 4 thou ideally I'd like to go to bed at 2

1:30am is not unusual for me. I recently saw a study where they noted a correlation between gene mutations known to modify circadian rhythms and those associated with autism.

I go to bed approximately one hour later each day, so being up at any hour is a normal thing.

My sleep schedule is so screwy these days. I'm on break from college for the summer and am not currently working, so I've just abandoned conventional sleeping patterns. I went to bed at 2pm and got up at around 10. It's currently 2:15am and I'll probably be up for another 12 hours or so.

That 'later and later' stuff is exactly what I do. Trouble is, once the midnight (or whatever) target is reached, the 'bedtime' just continues to get 'later', so that within a few days I'm again going to sleep at 4 or 5 am, and waking up in the early afternoon. I think that may be because I operate on a 25 or 26 hour cycle, ie 17 or 18 hours awake followed by 8 hours asleep. This is potentially quite problematic....

I usually don't start dragging myself to bed until at least 2am, although I have been known to go to bed closer to 3.30/4.
