When I'm thinking about history or talking about cats or listening to Rammstein or something, I'm sure my heart beats faster sometimes. And I start stimming really badly. I get this in lectures when it's a really exciting lecture and then I feel like an idiot afterwards when someone else in my class says "that was boring, wasn't it?" Does everyone else get this when they're reading about their obsession or talking about it etc? It makes me happy though, which is good. But maybe it's more like an addiction, because it's only ever temporary.
I won't end up having a history-induced heart attack or someything, will I?
I don't want my favourite thing in life to be the death of me.

Naw, I wouldn't worry...it is healthy to have some adrenaline now and then.

Actually, I think you have it BAD! I don't think most get THAT excited, etc... but it isn't a bad thing, certainly. BTW I think most DO find history boring. So YOU have different interests. Don't let that make you feel bad. I wish *I* was that on fire. BTW how old are you? Just curious.

Well, I know mine is probably going to kill me, but that's because driving cars sideways on a dirt road, eh, not quite the brightest idea.

I don't think your obsessions will give you a heart attack, they make you happy right? Therefore, if they make you happy, you have a lot of endorphins and serotonin (happy hormones) floating around your body and these can have very positive effects on you. So I wouldn't worry.
