Do any other aspies not physically age? I look nearly indentical as I did 11 years ago, currently 29 yrs old. I don't I look a day older. I have people look at me every time I tell them my age as if I am lying to them.

People always think I'm still a teenager. Usually 17-18 but I'm older.

I look my age.

I still look the same as I looked when I was fourteen. I looked a bit older than my age back then, but I look younger than my age right now.

I was told by friends and coworkers (and, sometimes angrily, by suspicious cashiers who wouldn't let me buy beer or wine without scrutinizing my ID) that I looked 17 years of age until I was about 35 years of age. Now, with my white beard and S&P hair, I more closely match my real age of 53 years of age.

I look several years younger than my chronological age.

As an example, several months back, my wife (who is 2 years younger than me) was having a procedure done at a medical clinic. When it was over, an orderly wheeled my wife out to the car (in a wheel chair). He looked at me. Then looked at my wife and asked her: “Is this your son?”

Not sure. I can't trust what people say. They may say to a 50-year-old woman, "Oh, you look like 35!!", and inside they think, "Wow, her skin is sagging and withered and she looks like 60! Yuk! Poor woman". That's how many people are. Some of the people that think that they look younger than their age must have been tricked by such people into believing it, because they actually look older than their age.

Me. I am an extreme case. I get so many people astonished how young I look.

People are like WHAT. A security guard chased me down in a casino last year and forced me show my ID. It's an old joke that I refer to my mom as "grandma", because they always think I am so young.

Reasons:
-I have rarely gone in the sun my whole life, so little skin damage.
-I had a thyroid condition that caused high levels of both male and female hormones. This is believed to provide better structure for the skin to have the exposure to both.
-Having some fat in your face so that you don't look gaunt.

While I don't see it people often think I am much younger that I actually am. I have often been mistaken for one of my teenage daughters. People would come into our business and ask me where my father was, when looking for my ex-husband, who was about the same age as I was. If I go out with my daughters I am often mistaken for their sister. People refuse to believe I have kids who are in their teens and twenties. Some have gone so far to say I am lying! And not that long ago someone asked my boyfriend, again who is about my age, if I was his daughter.

As far as I am concerned, I look like an early 40something year old.

Everyone tell me that I look 10 years younger then I actually am. As a person. I feel 20 years younger. I find myself hanging around 20+ year old's.

Think I used to look younger but it's catching up with me and I look my age now

3 kids and a demanding full time job will do that to you!

I get mistaken for my son's older brother sometimes.

I'm 30 and still get asked for ID regularly. When I was 21 I went with my sister who was 16 to a 15+ movie. I was asked for ID and she was not.

I do look more or less the same as I did at age 17. This is something I have noticed about many people with AS. I wonder if it has something to do with not using facial muscles to express emotion as much as NTs.

I don't think this looks bad for a dude with an AARP card in his wallet...

Of course if I stopped using hairdye and makeup and quit dressing in juvenile outfits, I might look like I'm turning 53. I do agree with Lovenothate that fat can help conceal wrinkles (as well as my Adam's apple.)

2 years ago I got asked if it was my first year of secondary school (I had the uniform on). It was my last. I look no different to when I was 12, really. People would be more likely to believe I was 12 than my real age.

Two years ago I got asked which middle school(12-16 year old kids) I am attending to - I was 24 back then.
Now I am almost 27 and just recently I got asked if I already had my 18th birthday.

I wonder if I am ever going to grow up or just switch from immature teenager to childish grandma after getting enough wrinkles and gray hair.
