I just wondered if anyone else experiences the same thing as me? It's a bit difficult to explain but I'll do my best. Basically, sometimes, especially when I'm laying in bed in the dark, though it can happen in daylight too, it basically feels like I'm either suddenly extremely small in relation to my surroundings or like a giant. Not literally, I know I can't haven't actually physically changed like that, it's just a really weird sensation and it's really difficult to 'get my bearings and get back an accurate perception. It isn't a new thing, I just made a comment related to it to a friend and he didn't get it at all. I wondered too if perhaps it could be related to my autism :-/

Sounds maybe like a spatial awareness issue.
Lots of people with autism have spatial awareness issues.
I have experienced similar things.
Sometimes it feels like I am switched around in my bed, where my head is at the foot of the bed and my feet are where my pillows are. Sometimes when I am walking I feel really tall, like on stilts.

I also experience a lot of those same sensations. I experience the walking one the most. Sometimes I feel super tall and sometimes I feel really short.

Yes! I get this too. It doesn't often happen to me when I'm going to bed but sometimes I'll close my eyes when I'm working out on a machine and it will happen, or if I'm meditating. It's very strange but yeah, Ariel's right, it's called alice in wonderland syndrome I believe
