I've been having dreams lately where if someone touches me in any way in them I feel it! Its freaky and I hate it. I think its due to stress about going off to college. Is this a common aspie/autie trait? Any way to fix this kind of thing?

p.s. I had it much worse when I was about 12 & on meds (felt pain/torture not just touch). But so far, its just been touch now w/o old stuff.

I've experienced exactly the same thing. Like, in my dream one of my molars wiggled and fell out. I actually felt my tooth wiggling and falling out and thought it was real. Anything I touch in my dream I feel, even if it's pain, though I don't have any dreams with pain lately. Also taste and smell too.

Don't know wheter this is an aspie trait though. Probably could be.

I've experienced this often. In night terrors, nightmares and dreams, be it torture, sensual or just plain....strange.
I don't know if it's an Aspie/Autie trait, though it could be, seeing as it's a sensory thing, and Aspies/Auties have sensory issues.

I've had very vivid dreams my whole life where I can smell, taste and feel things. Just last night I dreamed that I was blind and I had to hold onto someones arm to get around the supermarket. I could feel the persons arm against mine.
I don't think it's related to ASD's. Some people just have more vivid dreams than others. I don't know how to fix it either, although some medications used to treat anxiety or depression can cause weird or vivid dreams so if you are taking anything like that, then you might have the cause right there.

I've had dreams where I'm flying on a magic carpet and I feel like I'm flying. Then, randomly, the magic carpet stops flying and I wake up from the fear/feeling of falling.

Not exactly. In my dreams however when I'm touched or too much noise I'll frequently attack people in my dreams. I think I miss out on a lot of things in my dreams because half the time I'm attacking someone or laying down from someone touching me in them!

Full sensory immersion dreams are common for me, when I remember my dreams. Fortunately, most of my dreams are relatively benign, pleasant events of me just doing something on my own. Unfortunately, I've also had some nasty dreams, complete with compelling sensations that I would continue to feel well into the morning.

I seem to have full sensory stimulation in many of my dreams, and touch is one of the strangest ones to have! I recall one dream in particular, I forget exactly why but I remarked jokingly "I must be dreaming, somebody pinch me!", and someone did pinch me, and it hurt!! My dream carried on for a few more minutes until I woke up, disappointed that it actually was a dream, but the site where I was pinched in the dream still hurt for some reason.

Another one of my favorite dreams involved eating mint-flavored chocolates that were freely available in a park during a nighttime concert; for me being able to experience taste like that is more of a rarity than touch.

Used to have dreams of not pain but of discomfort, ex : a bear attacking me at the top of the stairs - i knew it was coming so i kept trying to blink my eyes to wake myself (it was hard)... and i feel it digging into my back as I continue to try to blink... Those sort of suck.

But I've felt touch inside and out of dreams - sensory (hearing) out of dreams.. usually involving me asking something/someone if they are there or a presence of some sort in my dream, probably due to mental suggestion via my own thoughts. Its plausible both inside and outside your dreams to feel touch. I seem to have problems lately with visual issues from my dreams... seeing a giant spider crawling on my wall as i wake up, or someone by the door. I account that on a old picture i picked up tho, we seem to live peacefully together but it wakes me up every now and again.

I've always had dreams where I feel every sensation (touch, smell, taste etc). I didn't realise thiswas odd and only after diagnosis and realising things like seeing in pictures were unique did I question whether my dreams were unusual too. I have asked my NT parents if they experience touch etc in their dreams and they both said no so I'm guessing it could be an aspie thing. I also experience sensation when remembering some things eg pain when remembering having a needle. I quite like having this kind of dreamiong most of the time.

I used to think I was odd because I remembered most of my dreams. Then I thought I was odd for being able to dream in color.

I used to say I never tasted, felt or smelled anything while dreaming. I find even that's changing.

Sometimes I find my dreams more fun to live in than reality.

I feel touch in my dreams sometimes, too, but I don't really suffer from that.

Yes I get touch sensations in my dreams, some are nice, some are horrible.

I managed to have a full scale meltdown in my sleep. It was... interesting... :? I was kind of glad when I woke up though. ^^

Touch free topic

My dreams are a lucksend. I touch no one, and no one touches me.

Touch equals torch.
