Hello.
School is starting tomorrow. I go to a special school. In my class there is going to be a boy, who i do not like very much. When i hear someone humming it causes anxiety and pain in my head. The boy in question is always humming/singing quietly. Last year we were not in the same class but this year we will be.
How should i deal with the problem? I just cannot be near someone who is singing quietly/humming. I am afraid i will have a meltdown because of it.
Are you in the US and do you have an IEP? If so, this issue should be written into it. They need to provide you with an environment that doesn't trigger you. My son has a problem with mouth noises and doesn't eat lunch in the cafeteria or sit next to kids who chew gum. If it's in the IEP, they have to take care of this.
Good luck.
I do not live in the us. I dont offically have a IEP but because of the school i go to i technically have one. School hasnt started yet, i will see how it is there after it begins.
