So, I have always had trouble doing things in sequences and orders.

I'll know the process of doing something but I'll get the order wrong. For example:

I'll want to make some French toast, I know how to make French toast but I'll neglect to heat up the stove or I'll put the eggs on the pan without the bread.

This has effected my life and is why I have so much trouble cooking, anyone else have this problem?

I usually spend all the time I've got on the first step of the sequence and never do the rest.

I am good at doing things in sequence, as long as nothing unexpected happens. If the order changes for some reason, I will forget the steps that come next.

I don't always do things in the "right" sequence.

What's most important, from my standpoint, is the final result.

if the French toast is good, who cares about the "sequence" in which it was created?

I almost always do things step by step so I don't screw up.

I can be rigid and methodical about doing some things in sequence, and haphazard about others. It can go either way. I have to do things in a certain order or else I will probably forget something and get confused.

With cooking I have trouble following the right sequence, especially if it's something I haven't made in awhile. I am especially prone to forget things that have to be done ahead of time, like preheating the oven (or washing last night's pots and pans so I can cook in them again, lol).
