I am glad to see them questioning the conventional thinking that rigidity of thought is a hallmark of autism. I can be stubborn, pig-headed and obstinate, but I think my conceptual process and imagination is extremely fluid. The divergent thinking example they gave seems very familiar to me. My day to day patterns are fairly rigid, but not my thoughts. I suspect that there is diversity in the spectrum in this as in many things.
Nice to see someone from Autism Speaks doing something that isn't negative.
