Nothing to be ashamed of. In fact, there are some advantages to having an autistic viewpoint on things.
Obviously, I haven't seen you in person, so I can't really offer a true impression of you.
I would worry more about being you, succeeding in school, trying to get out of Special Ed., than whether or not you're "autistic."
The doctor said that I have not changed (that the social difficulties I had when I got diagnosed are still here) BUT the doctor that removed the diagnose quit so I could not ask him. But the doctor and my therapist said that I am still me and they don't think diagnosing patients isn't the important part (the important thing from their view is to help me). But they did say that I have autistic traits (but so does everyone) but that I (maybe) have more than the "normal" amount of autistic traits.
