Today at the shopping mall this little...darling let out this loud scream for no reason, in a rather echoey area. It made my right ear pop, and ever since then it has been feeling sore and deaf but extra sensitive to every other noise, and I now feel dizzy and sick. Oh yes, and irritable with every loud noise and people.

This is the first time this has happened to me. Well, not the first ear infection, but the first time a loud sound has given me a prolonged sore feeling in my ear. Maybe I was getting an ear infection anyway and this little brat just set it off.

Has loud noise ever given you sore ears for a few hours after the noise occurred?

Yes, but the soreness only lasted about an hour or so. I have a few friends with intense SPD, and this happens to them all the time.

Not an ear infection, but my ear rings sometimes after someone shouts at me

I don't think noise can give you an ear infection. It's normally caused by viruses or bacteria inside your ear. I've had a lot of ear infections with pain, pressure, itchiness, and drainage from the ear, but I always thought loud noises would just make you go deaf.

One time however, I watched a video that had a lot of swearing in it while having one of my usual low-grade infections, and I jokingly said the swearing made it worse.

Hard to say, because I have a chronic low-grade ear infection in both ears. If it's somehow caused by noise sensitivity, that would be really interesting.
