FYI, if you have auditory processing issues you might be able to get a captioned phone. I went for a Central Auditory Processing Disorder evaluation and on request the audiologist filled out a form so that I could get a free captioned phone plus the captioning service even though I didn't get diagnosed with hearing loss or CAPD.

The captioning service consists of someone at the company listening in and transcribing the audio. The text appears on the phone's screen. I don't know what other phones are like, but mine has a great feature that allows me to change the volume by frequency, so, if my problem was with hearing low tones, for example, I could boost low tones only. I can also save text to read later.

That's pretty cool. I largely avoid the phone because of my CAPD.

I'm sure I have a subtle form of CAPD.

I'm always told that I don't "listen."

Thanks for the suggestion pertaining to the captioned phone. That might not be a bad idea.
