A colloquial term for a ridiculously long or unpronounceable (compound) word, often implying that the word is made up or not in common parlance.

i thought word salad was what schizophrenics sometimes do - string words together at random rather than meaningful speech?

it's spelled "semantic-pragmatic" disorder and according to wikipedia it's now called "pragmatic language impairment."

here's the wiki article > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pragmatic_ ... impairment

which says it's related to ASDs but i didn't read further to see if it could exist independently.

i don't know anything about it. just looked it up for clarity because i thought the spelling was wrong.

It's not Asperger's syndrome. It can be found in it though.

Hmm, I don't know. You'll have to do some personal research about Asperger's, and find out if it fits you or not.
Even if you aren't an Aspie, you're most certainly welcome to the forum! :D
