I don't think specific tests are required but you do have to have a medical record that shows you are disabled in specific ways. I did have an ADOS test and my disability claim was still denied on my first application.

What do you mean by a medical record? How do you have/ claim a medical record? I have a dignous from my Doctor is that enough?

Or if I have him write a note?

What is your autism level by the way or your diagnosis?

The disability application ask what places you received treatment & you sign a paper for them to release your medical records.

First, hire an attorney, specifically an attorney that handles disability for anyone under the age of 21. Can't find one? Then call your local bar association and ask for reccommdations.

Second, let the attorney handle all the paperwork, from initial application to appeal, if you initial application is denied.

Third, remember, this entire process is a crapshoot. Even with the best attorney working on your case, SSA will still screw you over. Let the legal eagles do the fighting.
