They're always complaining about being lonely and upset about life
I personally love solitude - which I see as distinct from loneliness - and I actively seek out what could be called 'isolation'. Therefore, there's no complaining from me on being lonely.

What if your intelligence isn't the result of Autism but you spending more time learning about what you want because that's all we have time to do.
Our intelligence - like autism - is part of who we are. They can't be separated. However, it could be argued that for some, a very systematic way of thinking is the product of autistic traits - and this way of thinking leads to advances in intelligence beyond the mean. Therefore part of our intelligence could be the product of our autism.
This is tricky to answer though as you'd have to define intelligence - or at least what you mean when you use the term.

I'm telling you, fitting in is a hell of a better experience in life than always being isolated or autistic.
I've tried 'fitting in'. It's fun for a season - then becomes very, very tiring. Ask anyone here and they'll probably tell you how it's near-impossible to try to act like something you're not.
And why should we act like we're something we're not? I certainly have no shame over who or what I am.

My symptoms come in patterns and seem to get worse every year..
Is this because you're trying to.... fit in?
I don't understand the end of your post - you're basically saying that we should just try to 'fit in' - then saying you're getting worse. Shouldn't our reply be 'give yourself a shake and just go and fit in somewhere'.
Even on that subject -
everything is a niche. So, by fitting in: fitting into
what?
