Are there any autism magazines or ezines out there? I've been looking, and the closest I can find are health magazines with articles on autism.

The journal 'Autism' is published in the UK. But it's written by "professionals" (read 'NT').

I haven't seen or read any of these but I did a Google search for you and came up with these (used search phrase: autism magazine).

They're all for professionals and caregivers. Nothing for us.

We used to get one in our home, but it was mostly experts advice for parents. So I had nothing to read in it.

Adding to my earlier post...

Back issues of Autism Asperger's Digest Magazine have been compiled in a book available from Amazon.

Amazon.com: The Best of Autism Asperger's Digest Magazine, Volume 1: Outstanding Selections from Over Four Years of Issues!: Books: Veronica Zysk by ...

This and others I just posted are NOT just for professionals... they're written for us, for parents, partners, etc. Also, please, please, AU/AS is isolating enough as it is, so try not to make global negative generalizations. I found the publications I posted within 3 seconds of entering my search into Google.

HEY, What would you want to see in such a thing? Frankly, this could help me to build up my interest in computers/internet again, and maybe help out a number of people on the ASD spectrum!

I just had a look at the links, Autism Spectrum Quarterly seems very good and I don’t doubt that it provides a great service. However...

I think a magazine written exclusively by and for people on the spectrum would be a great idea. I don’t think it is a bad idea to be exclusive, the magazine would simply cater for a different audience. It could become a good counter-balance to e.g. DAN and CAN and parent only groups.

It could include news, interviews, opinion and humour, lust like a proper newspaper or magazine (I was just thinking about this last week). It would be like a print version of an autism podcast. It does not need to be much, it could start off with just a few pages, and be published once a month or every 2 weeks or so. It could be in a .pdf file and people could download it and print it off and show it to other people. You can’t carry your computer monitor around and show people WP, sometimes I wish I could.
