Me and my mom thought of it.

Here's something I forgot to put down: I live in the Greensboro/High Point area of NC.

This doesn't help you at all but I'm coming to Raleigh on the 9th July!

Sorry, I'm just really excited because it's my first proper holiday (longer than 2 nights) since I was about 10 and my first time abroad and my first time on a plane and my first time meeting my pen-pal! So any tips on nice places to visit that are accessible by bus from the centre of raleigh would be good.

Again, sorry for hijacking the thread. :-)

Hope you find someone nearby soon!

How old are you? If you're 21 or over, maybe you can pick up a pint with me at a bar.

I'm the grand old age of 22 but it'd have to be an orange juice as I don't drink!

Do people in America really wait until they're 21 to go in bars? It's just that in england it's supposed to 18 and my local student union is populated with 14-17 year olds. All with fake ID or no ID and all getting pissed (drunk, not angry)!

A lot of students here have fake IDs, but you do have to be 21 to get into bars.

If you're over 21, The Hibernian on Glenwood Avenue is good. If you don't consume alcoholic beverages, The Hibernian is also good for a meal. Helios coffee is also good, and it's located a half block down Glenwood Ave. from the Hibernian. Cup of Joe on Hillsborough St is good, and they have been known to sell bubble tea as well. Avoid I (Heart) NY Pizza on Hillsboough St due to not only to the fact that their Pizza is lousy, but also due to generally unsanitary food preparation practices.

Also, TTA Busses run throughout the RDU area. I have no idea of what you find interesting, though.
