I read this link:

and thought that the "ten things" would strike a chord with many members here. Managing the effects of internalised negativity is a daily issue for everyone on the spectrum at some level everyday; cultivating the tender little plant of self-respect is far more challenging when any intrinsic difference is stigmatised as disorder.
So the flip side of this thread could be: how can/could self-respect be nurtured in the ASD community, particularly in the younger part of it?
