Do you believe that benign symptoms - psychological and/or physical are severe warning signs of a terminal disease or the manifestation of a terrible irreversable disorder?

Not really but I hate being sick - it's as if your own body betrayed you.

I'm a hypocondriac, sorta. I always thought it was strange how I got tired so quickly, why I always had tremors, and why I'd get lightheaded and dizzy so fast. Everyone kept telling me I was overreacting. In fact, durring my pregnancy I kept saying 'something was wrong' but it wasn't until I nearly died on the operating table that anyone believed me. Now all of a sudden I have an enzyme disorder, or a nueromuscular disorder ><

oh haven't got that as well have I!

When it comes to anything psychological, I have a tendency to overanalyze, yes. But I wouldn't say I'm a hypochondriac...

When it comes to physical symptoms I'm possibly the opposite of a hypochondriac. I tend to think, "Whatever, it'll get better on its own." And I drink a lot of water.

I think it has to do with the fact that to me, psychological symptoms are more interesting to analyze than physical symptoms, and sometimes more under my control...

Maybe, but probably not. Just me being over-analytical.

No, but I'm always paranoid that I'm exhibiting such behaviors. I get paranoid that I'm just imagining things.

This is why I crave an official diagnosis, so.

I am not a hypochondriac. I have a progressive neurological disease. I AM heavily into obsessive research and talk about it and other neurologic disabilities and diseases since they interest me quite a bit.

Yes.

More so when I was younger and not so much as an adult. But in some ways I have had "relaps" as an adult as well.

I remmber once for no reason I just shed a lot of hair one day, and when I ran my finger thru my hair more would come out. Usually one sheds that much hair in like 5 days, not 1, I don't think. I thought I had some disease and was dying. My mother told me it's normal and I still worried.

Whenever I get a cut, I'm paranoid I might have a staph infection and I'll have to get an appendage cut off.

Yes, I am. My mind can foster pretty dramatic outcomes of minor things like a spot on the skin. But, it´s mild compared to how I was in my childhood.
Back then, I was convinced, that my body was an unexploded bomb of terrible disfiguring illnesses, waiting to break out and make my life miserable. Even as a young/younger adult I nervously seached my body for signs of neurofibromatosis and my ears for beginning deafness (had been shocked by a broadcast about Beethoven, when I was seven).

Disease doesn't interest me. When I am ill, I want to get better as soon as possible. Unless a symptom is very obviously something, I assume it's probably nothing.
