Despite my blue hair people think I look like an adult. It's kind of what I want, but it's annoying when I have to deal with people asking me to sign up for reward cards when I'm just trying to buy two items at Walmart. I don't understand how rewards cards work, so I'm not going to get one. I guess I don't have the aspie curse of looking younger.

I always wanted to look like an adult, even when I was a kid.

Now...I want to look LESS like a middle-aged adult.

Reward cards are actually pretty cool. You just sign up and get one. Then every time you shop they put points on your reward card. And when you accumulate a certain amount of points you get free stuff or discounts on stuff. The stuff can be things you buy in the store. Some reward cards are gas rewards. We have gas reward cards from a couple of grocery stores and for every $100 we spend on groceries we get ten cents off of each gallon of gas at the gas station of that store. It's great. A couple of times we managed to get 40 or 50 cents off the gallon. One time we used a card that we combined with my mom and got 70 cents off the gallon for that fillup. But if you don't have a car you can use rewards discounts for stuff you buy in the store like groceries and things like that.

I never wanted to look like an adult even when I became a teenager and did not understand why other kids my age did. When you get older you're supposed to give up kid things even if you still like them and have more responsibilities even if you're not ready to handle them. I thought most adult things were stupid and I still do.

I'm in a near-constant state of frustration because I can't enjoy things like when I was a kid and most adult things are boring, frightening, dangerous and disgusting. :(

First world problem detected. :P

I think few people want to "look old".
But if you're over the age of 18 or 21, it's definitely advantageous to look like an adult in most cases, weird or not.

I was never ready for adulthood and I really don't like looking like an adult. Perhaps if I was actually born as a male, I'd like it more because my body would match my brain. I look okay from the neck, up.

Not much of a first world problem when the cashier could barely speak English and you just want to get out. Fluorescent lights also make me spacey so I can't really deal with s**t like that. I can only handle them if I'm going alone and I can leave exactly when I want to.

I was shaving at 13. The only reason I had any chance of being 'cool' in High School was because I had a full beard and mustache at 15 and could buy beer and other things without being carded.
At 11, kids were calling me "Mister"
At 19 I was asking a girl out. She said no. I asked why. She said, "I am not going out with a 30 year old man!"
At 29 I went to work for a major company. Everybody thought I was 40.

I am just now aging to my looks. Santa Claus. Looked this way for 20 years now.

sighhhh.....Aspie curse of looking young, my furry behind!! LOL

I'm 30 and 6'1" but people tend to think i'm 20. I have grey hairs in my facial and head hair, though I shave it all smooth because I hate having hair on my head. I thought that would make me look older but only slightly because other men tend to underestimate my age as well and girls who think they're flirting with a younger guy end up learning i'm older than them lol

It would be funny or even flattering if I enjoyed the flirting. It doesn't happen all the time or anything.. that's not what I meant. It has happened enough times to mention it, however. I prefer that females with... "needs"... satisfy them elsewhere. I have enough to deal with. :nerdy:

I don't understand things like reward cards either. I just tell them no.

It was actually a credit card. I don't think you just sign up for a credit card on a whim. That's just asking for bad credit and scams.
