Well, it used to.... until I realized that I tend to think more logically than NTs seem to.
For example, I was at a friend's house for dinner. She was cooking. When I cook at home I don't wash up as I go along but make a big mess and then clean up after I eat, even though the mess seems overwhelming then and I often just leave it... for days. But at her house it suddenly occured to me that I could HELP by starting the washing up as she was cooking, so that's what I started to do. She didn't say anything but just kept cooking. Suddenly she shouted "Just sit down, will you?" I was shocked and must have looked it, because she said she'd been 'hinting' that she didn't want me in the kitchen. Like I could catch the hints....
Anyway, I've learned to ask if there's anything I can do before I just jump in. The quote I remind myself of when I'm tempted to help is: "the road to hell is paved with good intentions'.
Also, big surprise, NTs like to do things THEIR WAY, too!!
