i seem to be more relaxed in places like airports or big hotels somewhere with lots of rules and structure and more comfortable talking to professionals, like doctors than people like me. anyone else feel that?

At Tim Horton's, having a tea or coffee, with my friends. :)

Pretty much the opposite for me. I feel more anxious around large official places with official people. I'm always sure I'm doing something the wrong way.
I like home.

that's interesting ... I like home too. I'm not keen on outdoors and like to stay in a lot but if am out i'd rather be somewhere where i feel anonymous.

Anime Cons, at anime cons no one is able to tell your an aspie. If you talk to much about anime or games it's because you drank to much red bulls. Or if you act out of the norm it's because you have gone to long with no sleep.

I like a mall that is near where I used to live and I used to go to the movies there. I like rock concerts and comic book conventions! I also like the Star Wars convention. I feel comfortable in those places. I also like a park that I used to walk there. :)

Strangely enough I like being with my girlfriend wherever she is. I don't really care about my room at home, it just feels like a room...

I feel best at home, whether it's in my room on the computer, watching movies on the big screen in the living room, or listening to music outside. I'm happiest in the early afternoon and at night. Late afternoons/early evenings are when I'm most likely to have a meltdown for some reason.

Either home alone or hiking through the forest alone.

I'm usually most comfortable when I'm at home, on my laptop, drinking coffee. :)

I agree with Sparrowrose. At home or hiking alone is the most comfortable for me. I am a night owl and like the late night the best. Then it's quiet and I can let my thoughts wander and think the most clearly without the clutter of others being around me.

At home....that is one of the many reasons that moving to a new country and getting used to a new house is so stressful. One more month...eeeeeaaaahhhhh!

I feel most comfortable sitting in front of the TV with my family, with one of the cats on my lap, and the fireplace burning. Unfortunately, I'm now living on the opposite side of the world to those things :(

Usually I'd say the solitude of my apartment is where I'm most comfortable, but lately coming home to that emptiness has left me feeling fairly depressed. Instead I'd say I feel most content when out walking somewhere in nature, such as a footpath around a lake or alongside a river. Something about being under the trees or near water is very calming to me, enough that I don't mind sharing the space with other people like I would anywhere else.
