Hello everyone. My name is Jordan Grapel. I have Asperger's Syndrome, and am currently trying to conduct research about the relationship between autism and certain personality traits. I am look for people willing to participate in my study: specifically people on the autism spectrum. Anyone who participates will be compensated with $0.30, and will have helped me greatly in my research. If you are interested, please message me privately on this website, and I will send you the link to the survey. Thank you.

Has Alex - the owner of this website - given permission to solicit participation in your project in exchange for money?

No. That is why I did not post the link to my survey on here. I thought that made it ok. Should I instead delete this and ask him and wait for his approval?

Too late to delete. Send Alex a PM and wait for a response. He was here earlier today, so you may not have to wait long.

Ok. Thank you. In any case I'm sorry if I violated the rules of this website.

You're giving people 30 cents to compensate them for participating in your research?

Where I come from, that's an insult. If you have no budget, just pay nothing.

Ya it's not a lot, but apparently that's what you pay on MTurk. Even the big companies rarely go over $3 when using MTurk, and I'm just a college student trying to conduct some research.

I'd rather get nothing than 30 cents. I hate uneven numbers.

I mean if you want to participate without being paid I can also just send you the survey without the use of MTurk.

That would probably be best as then it doesn't infringe any rules as far as I'm aware. Did Alex get back to you?

30 is an even number.

Well that would equate to about 30seconds of my time is the survey that long?

TBH I would drop the reward people will answer it or not.

But then I'd have $60.30

But it's still an even number if it has a zero after it. It's an odd number if it was $60.03 and not $60.30.
