The UK's Specialist 'Enablement' Service
Page 1 of 1 [ 1 post ]
After speaking with my ASD social worker for the first time, I have agreed to participate in the Specialist 'Enablement' project.
According to the information sheet, it's designed for clients classified as higher functioning - such as people with Asperger's Syndrome - who are not eligible for learning disability services. They provide assessment, therapy and support to help us to learn and maintain independence in everyday tasks such as personal care; planning and cooking a meal; managing our homes and planning our days and travel.
Has anyone else been involved in the scheme or something similar to this?
