People used to imitate my special interests... It was weird.

I had a special interest in hello kitty... Like an obsession, everything I had was hello kitty - bags, stationary, pens, everything. And initially people thought this was strange, but as time went by all of the girls in my year group started getting hello kitty things as well.

But I have also seen people imitate my strange mannerisms as well. I assume they do it in disparaging manner and to make me the butt of the joke.

Perhaps they are mocking you.

If your social skills are weak then you are a target. One must be self aware to be cool.

Nobody has ever imitated me! I'm a really odd duck!

I still have more hair than him--even at age almost 55!

I have never noticed this, have you considered that maybe the things you guys are doing are just popular. Like for example maybe DestinedToBeAPotato's hello kitty thing is just a fad, I thought all girls were into that?

Yeah.

It might be that she was "ahead of the curve" and was into Hello Kitty before it caught on. Then everyone else got into to it because it was a global fad, and not because they were imitating her.

Though she could still claim "I was into Hello Kitty before it was cool to be into Hello Kitty" to justly claim uber coolness!

For some bizarre reason I processed the title as, "people irritate ME".

Kids did the same to me in 4th grade. They would copy my mannerisms.
