Have you ever understood why NTs find farting so funny? Or wind someone passess wind they burst out in fits of laughter. I mean farts are just horrible and smelly not funny at all. If someone passed wind near me i would be putting on a oxgen mask not laughing.

I enjoy talking about farting, like flatulence propelling a person forwards and down a cliff like Wile E. Coyote, but actual farting is repulsive if done on purpose.

This kind of humor is not N.T or Aspie specific.

It seems to be common in British comedy. I used to find it funny when I was younger but not anymore. I find it immature.

It's just a natural body function to me. Nothing more. I find it immature when people do it on purpose though.

When I was in grade 1, I found anything to do with going to the bathroom, funny, but not anymore.

When I was younger I found it very funny. As I've grown older it really takes a unique comedy of it to make me laugh but the older I get I fear I may loose my simple sense of humor which brings enjoyment and happiness. If setup to be surprising in comedy it is funny. I'd call extreme circumstances such as a whoppie cushion in a classroom to call it immature. However I do not feel like placing my judgement on others for the most part like calling them immature as if they are inferior to me simply because they find humor where I do not laugh. Though the classroom whoppie cushion would just be wrong. I think people that go out the their way to call another person a name, to announce their emotional and psychological aged based superiority and dislikes as if they are better when otherwise people are enjoying themselves is wrong.

It's the taboo - farting is considered socially unacceptable therefore the instant attraction for humor, rebellious college students and the hollywood actors that cater to them. And, of course, to anyone under the age of ten. If nobody around them reacted in such funny ways to farting, they wouldn't find it so hilarious either.

I know someone that farted and an older lady chased him with an umbrella.

Now THAT'S funny!

and also proof that those 'social taboos' are fertile grounds for first rate comedy.

I don't understand what isn't funny about the sound of wind being forced through two membranes. I think it's rather strange that some people think they're better than me simply because they try to hide it. I don't care. I realize that everyone farts at some point in their lifetime, and at many instances, an unexpected fart sound is hilarious. There's no reason to be embarrassed about a natural body function.

NT sense of humor? Since when has everything become NT vs. AS?

Besides, this particular instance was normally considered male sense of humor vs. female sense of humor.

They are unpleasant, but if timed well have great comedic potential.

When you were a kid, didn't you used to make squeezy/farty sounds with a balloon? Hold the end stretched real tight between your fingers and tug on it so the air makes all sorts of squeeky noises? Some sounds are just universally funny.

I find all forms of poop-throwing-and-non-throwing more scintillating than all forms of farting, intentional, unintentional, or facsimilacious. POOP is also a purrrtier word than FART, though both words and both sounds both words represent are rich rewarding palialalia material for the listening pleasure of one's or another's chicken-soup-slurping-precipitatory-of-farting-and-pooping-body-and-soul.

Farting is hilarious, especially when substituted for a verbal response.
