what is the difference between mild,moderate and severe ASD?

How do they decide whether someone is mild,moderate or severely autistic?

As someone who started off as severely Autistic, then became mildly Autistic, before finally settling into being moderately Autistic. I have to say that it largely depends on the persons capabilities, frame of mind, and coping mechanism.
