I notice there is an extremely disproportionate number of members here from Scotland, Ireland, and the rest of the anglo-celtic world. I myself am an American, but am of Irish ancestry. I am just wondering if there might be some sort of connection between Celtic genes and Asperger's.... or am I just imagining things?

And while we are on the subject, I am a big fan of Celtic culture and music! :D

me too, me too!! ! I'm more than 50% irish, and I'm also a major fan of all things Irish!

I love Celtic culture too! Although I don't think I have any Celtic-ness in my background. If I do it would be very very far back.

I am Irish, Scottish, and English. And also French, German, Swiss, and Danish, too.

You dont count then. Too many mixes for your Celtic ancestry to be of any statistical significance.

Scottish, German, and Danish are probably the larger percentages of the 7. Though percentagewise, I am more UK ancestry than anything.

But despite the percentages, genes are very small. ;) :lol:

Do Welsh people count as being 'Celtic'?

If so, then yes otherwise not.

I've got no one "predominant" ethicanicaly, but all of them are northern european.

It would be amusing to do a scientific study on it.
I am celtic (Irish, with some english, french and polish).

Celtic culture is awesome. It's the one I most identify with (other than American).

Oh, and yes - adversarial, welsh counts as celtic.

Ah, the Scots who lived in Ireland? That is my Scottish heritage when some Scots were sent over to Ulster.

My Grandmother was Welsh, and my great grandparents, on the other sideof my family, were Irish.
