I searched this topic to see if anyone else was talking about this recently on this forum. The search came up with a few posts from 2010. So I would like to try to spark up this discussion again. A person's chronotype indicates how a person may perform at different times of the day. Some people are 'larks' and find themselves most alert earlier in the day, and will go to bed early. 'Owls' may be most alert at night and prefer to go to bed late. People in between are sometimes referred to as 'hummingbirds". I believe that this pertains to Autism in a very important way. Getting quality sleep will help everyone function better, and finding out what time of day that sleep should occur is required. I used to be a night owl myself and could easily work an overnight shift and loved to see that sunrise right before "bedtime". Now that I am getting a little older, I find myself waking up at about 9 am. How about everyone else? I added a poll at the top.
