Hey, so...
I'm 24 and I have just been diagnosed with Asperger's. Apparently everyone noticed it except me.
I'm still trying to understand what this all really means. I mean, one day you think you are normal, one month later you have a thing. I'm already being followed by a doctor, but most information i try to get from the internet is related to children and there's not much about adults or people like me who got to know this really late.
I read about this site everywhere, I'm new to all this.
Are there other sites where I can get information, read all about this etc?

You are still normal, a normal Aspien. Which may seem odd from Neural Typical point of view. I believe the human catagorization syestem is a work in progress. Perhaps, if an autistic drew up the catagories, NTs would be considered disorderly in nature. So, you just found out you are Mac while most people are PC. No big deal. Welcome to Wrong Planet. There are some fine people here and also some downright negative folks. I always knew I was off a bit and I did not discover my ASD classification until I was in my fourties. Nothing changed except maybe, I love being me even more. I quit fighting the oddness and find it easier and more fun to just be my wierd self.

You are totally normal. Having AS doesn't make you not normal. I am an adult as well and yes, most of the resources are for kids. I find that frustrating. I read Aspergirls by Rudy Simone. It's about women on the spectrum (of all ages), but maybe it helps you? I hope so!

Yeah, I never said I was't normal. That's actually part of the "problem", I always think others are the weirdos and not me. :) It was just a way of explaining and putting things.
But yes, I'm OK with this. It's just all new and things are actually making some sense now actually.
It's just hard to know where it all starts and ends inside you, you know? Like... When is "it" talking?
All people all weird so... when are those weird things a sign, or when are those things just weird things I do, like all people?
Well, doesn't matter.
The suggestions were nice, i didn't know those works. I'll go into that.
This is a nice community, I'm reading some discussions in the forum, you are nice people.
Thank you for the help.

Hello, welcome. :)
I actually find learning about the similarities, things you thought were just weird things you did personally, coming from other people and accepted behaviours of autism, to be very insightful. It helps you start to work all this out and get an idea of how it is influencing you. That's one thing wrong planet is good for. Also many people have input of strategies to deal with things that are related to ASD which can be equally helpful.
