My partner and I are a pair of old coots and I've noticed we aren't getting any younger. We've both had some health problems, and the aches and pains that go with surviving past middle age. But one positive thing we do have is laughter. We gently poke fun at each other and not so gently poke fun at other people (outside their hearing, that is). A good hard laugh not only feels great, I think it even loosens up tight muscles (such as those around your ribs). If you know anyone you can laugh with, put a lot of energy into that relationship.

One nice thing about pets is you can kid about them even in their hearing. And pets present endless fodder for comedy!

I live with two elderly BAP parents. The confusion in our household is beyond hilarious.

I consider my complete Monty Phyton collection essential to good mental hygiene :)

"Mens sana in corpore sano" works both ways.
