Do you do things but sometimes don't know why? (hyperfocus?)
Some examples. I've purchased 15 -20 vinyl records but I don't have a record player...
I was recently looking at zippo lighters, I neither smoke nor go camping, but yet I was looking at youtube videos and stores where I could buy them.
I also had a thing a while back where I was looking at DSLR cameras, I watched all the unboxing/review videos on youtube, and learned about the concepts of DSLR photography. Do I want a camera? I don't believe I do.
Sometimes I have went ahead and purchased stuff, I would normally just look at it once and that's it. I think I have some Dvd's that are still in the cellophane!
I don't think this would be classified as "special interests". It's more like I hyper focus on things.
Does anyone else have this behaviour?

I can sort of relate, because I tend to go absolutely nuts during Steam sales and I end up buying tons of games I almost never play. Sometimes, I'll be going through my library and I'll think "holy s**t, I have this game?!?" but then I don't end up installing it because I don't feel like wasting bandwidth or whatever.
I tend to compulsively hoard other things I find online that I like too, such as bookmarks, pictures, music... the files on my computer are incredibly disorganized, and I have all sorts of stuff that goes back years and years that I've never bothered to sort, and I always get overwhelmed whenever I attempt to.
In the past I also hoarded things like computer parts and old electronics, but I've cut down my stash quite a bit. Still need to go through some of it and sort it though. It doesn't help that most of it is in my grandparents' shed a few hours away...
