yes it does! I had a pair for a short time and I'm gonna get a new pair. It means no eye contact and I can walk down the sidewalk and I feel like people aren't looking at me.

I've been thinking about doing that, but I don't have any. Sometimes I take my glasses off when I get stressed (I'm short sighted so everything goes blurry). That can help because it calms me down when everything's a blur.

I've worn sunglasses and it's never had that effect, it has helped with my sensitivity to light and in some ways, that is the source of the only stress it relieves.

I find sunglasses a little bit claustrophobic...but have to wear them more often now I am getting older. My ex who is suspect is AS wears them all the time and yes, he definitely does it to avoid eye contact of any sort.

No, but my eyes are so light sensitive that they help with that. Amber ones or mirrored ones seem to work best. My opthamologist gave me amber colored lenses for inside use when I'm on the computer because it bothers me to read on a monitor all day. That might help. You could try it. It does help with flourescent light if it bothers you.

No…I hate the feeling of glasses on my face. When that giant ball of nuclear fusion is particularly bright – which is more often than not in Australia, I just turn my head away and/or down; I’ve got deep-set eyes which help quite a lot.

I’ve got sensitive (blue) eyes too...but the yucky feeling of something on my face supersedes the chance of getting a migraine from the light (that’s how much I hate it).

Mirrored lenses are best then. I used to have to walk past many homeless people to get to work in the 1980's and I would wear mirrored sunglasses so they couldn't tell if I was looking at them. Otherwise, I'd never get in the door because they were begging for money and would grab you if you looked at them.

I just like them outside because bright light from the sun can hurt. As a nice side bonus, they are nice in that people can't tell where you're looking.

I have glasses that came with neat magnetic sun glasses that go over them. I really like the design.

I have glasses that tint when bright light hits them, speaking of.. I need to buy sunglasses for the summer for when I wear my contacts.

But yes, I feel better with sunglasses on.
It helps in various ways.

You know what, I haven't actually ever been able to find a pair of sunglasses that look good on me.

So I wouldn't know...

I got light blue sunglasses that I wear everywhere. The world seems kind of mustard colour to me, the blue corrects it, and it's such a relief! And inside - all of that yellow glare, yuck. I got mine on eBay. I don't care what they look like. Comfort is everything. My family says I look like a movie star. Whatever. :)
