I feel like my brain wires are crossed or something.... I had to tell my wife to turn down sound on the auto racing show she was watching because the engine sounds were making me nauseous. A lot of sounds just hurt. 8O

I've had a headache for six days now because of some TV show that had something flashing or flickering. It's gotten to the point that I prefer to watch public TV/PBS because it's the only channel that never has flashing. Sometimes bright sunlight or the light flickering through tree branches gives me headaches or makes me dizzy and confused.

Some smells make me nauseous: fried food, perfume, body odor, gasoline, burning brakes

Any ideas? Has anyone found something to help with this?

Bright lights make me feel a bit nauseous, but they mostly overload me in other ways like loud noises often make me jump or bright lights make me want to look away. Since I started becoming more aware of things like that I started wearing sunglasses outside after a couple years of not wearing any due to laziness, and I definitely feel calmer if it's brighter than normal outside. Smells can really set me off as well. My dad and I went to a Chinese restaurant to pick up food and having to wait because they forgot to send our order to the kitchen. The whole time there was an overwhelming food smell and I just couldn't stop thinking about it.

This sounds like you suffer from migraine. Some drugs can make migraine almost permanent.
Try a cup of strong black coffee if you still manage to drink it despite nausea, and see if it works.
