I have been told for about 13 years that my son most likely has Aspergers. I am okay with that part but never had him go through the testing. I felt like it was not going to offer any kind of benefit or solution. He has never had it to bad in school outside of the occasional new kids that would try to test him. He has always had great class mates to look out for him. He is now in 9th grade and the school is eating him up. Do I need the ppwk for help cuz the office seems to not give a rip about helping him adjust.

You might try asking in the parenting subforum as well, but if he has an official diagnosis you can get an IEP (Individual Education Plan) which *can* also help with social issues in addition to strictly learning issues.

Thanks. I am aware of the IEP but not sure how that would help him as far as people/students respond to him. I feel like I need to get a shirt made for him to wear. I'm at a loss we have always pushed for him to not expect people to expect less of him. He really blends in well for a kid with Aspergers but now he is starting to have more depressed times then not.

If your child is becoming depressed, it's a good idea to seek psychological help, whether or not he has Aspergers. Getting psychological help does not mean that someone is damaged/crazy. Also, if the people working at his school are going to be hard on him and react to him poorly, that may not be the school for him.

Yes Dr is working with him on that. I have seen him get down and confused before for time to time and his Dr has been great help. but I feel like the minute he feels relief something else happens at school in the class or in the lunchroom that starts the cycle all over again of confusion. High school by far has been the hardest for me to watch and parent. He is in most 11th grade classes due his knowledge but he is socially like a 5th/6th grader it is like oil and water. Dr thinks it is normal for Aspergers but I like to know if I can help in anyway.
