Does anyone else have a sensory issue with touch screens?

I've always had what I assume is a sensory integration issue where my fingers start to feel tingly after using touch screens or touchpads. I've generally gotten around it for things like using the ATM by using by knuckle instead of my fingertip to select things. However, this doesn't really work with a smartphone because things are too small on the screen for a knuckle to provide the necessary precision. I had stuck with an old phone until this past weekend, but then I finally decided to bite the bullet and go for an Android phone. I got a stylus in order to be able to use it without having this issue, but I'm discovering that, as I had expected might be the case, it's incredibly awkward to have to pull out a stylus for something as basic and making a phone call. Does anyone else here have similar issues and use a smartphone? If so, how to you handle it?

I have the exact same issue; they just feel so weird to use! Until I bit the bullet in 2014 and got an iPhone I'd been using a much older Palm PDA phone that was designed for use with a stylus.

You can buy touch screen gloves.

I don't have a smart phone, but I have a Kindle tablet. The touch screen doesn't bother me in small amounts, but if I'm using it for more than a few minutes, my fingertip starts to feel bad and I hate it. I don't think it's specific to the touch screen; I'd probably have the same problem rubbing my finger around on something like a glass tabletop.

For a while I had some weird callus-like thing on my finger that made my skin stiff and smooth, and it worked so nicely on the tablet that part of me was sad when it healed. :(

I don't have an issue with it, but have heard kids with autism in school talk about it.
