I am just curious to see what people have to say about this.

I personally wouldn't press the button because if I weren't the eccentric obsessive and slightly insane perosn that I am then I would no longer be me.

I wouldn't push it because despite the difficulties I've faced the friends I've been able to make say they appreciate how genuine I am and appreciate my view on life.

While I like who I am, I do love to press buttons

I'll say yes, but it depends where you're drawing the NT line. By some definitions, I'm already NT. By other definitions, it means something I wouldn't want to be.

I like all the BAP personality traits, but a lot people where I live have those traits without having any neurological or developmental issues.

I really really want to get rid of this hypersensitivity and executive dysfunction. I don't think I'd stop being me without those; I'd just be a better me without those. The social issues are less of a problem for me, but I won't mind getting rid of that too.

The only downside is that lack of sensory problems and EF-related anxiety might result in less of an urge to stim which might result in fewer calories burned which means... I could become even fatter! ...But this is a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

Would rather have a switch that I could switch on when I have to attend NT social functions like weddings and so on and then switch it off the moment they are over. If your button was on/off then yes.

I don't think I would be so creative ,if I wasn't autistic. So no.

Only if I could go back. I have no idea what it would be like to suddenly change.

If I retained no memory, would I know anything at all? What's the point?

If I did, what would I miss? What would just change into completely different, possibly unpleasant experiences.

Only if I could go back.

I would only press the button under two conditions: one, the effect was temporary and would wear off in about a week, and two, not only would it turn me NT, it would turn my immediate family members autistic for the same amount of time that I was NT (I'd warn them it was going to happen first.) I really wish they could see what it's like to live inside my head, they might have a little more respect and understanding for my social and sensory problems if they could experience them first hand.

I wouldn't press it. Not sure I could describe why in actual words, but I wouldn't press it.

I would press a button that would remove my neurological/cognitive impairments that are a result of my autism.

I'd press a button to decrease/stop my perseverative behaviors by autism and learning impairment.

Like others said, only if I could go back. I'd like to see what it would be like to be NT, but I like myself the way I am. I worry that I would become a completely different person and someone I might not like.

I don't even know if it is Asperger's I have now, but I still face challenges in life due to anxiety, social communication disorder, ADD, and some learning difficulties, and I know my life would be easier without these challenges. I would be able to have fun more, make friends better, be more organized at work, handle some stress easier than I do, and learn new things at a quicker pace.

No, because I like my unique way of looking at the world, and my creative abilities.
