Does benzos usually help a real meltdown? Or just anxiety? I had a "meltdown" earlier, klonopin calmed it down almost right away. I'm in the process of reevaluating possible AS symptoms.

Meltdowns are usually the same response as a anxiety attack- flight or fight response, triggered by hormones such as Adrenaline and Cortisol, there is no 'anxiety' hormone therefore it should work for both. I could be wrong though
