Is there any Aspie groups in South Australia? I really want to meet some Aspies in real life.

There's a group for aspie girls called "music chicks" near burnside that I go to if you're interested. We meet up every wednesday (but it closes during the holidays).

Speaking of which, is there a list of Aussie groups, especially for older people? The ones I've been able to find so far are mainly for parents of young children; perhaps these groups expect ASDs to vanish by the time their child reaches their teens

Where's Burnside? Music chicks? Does that mean it's to do with music?

do you know if there are many gamers in your area?

Do you do just digital based gaming or pen and paper stuff too?

Have you considered setting one up?

I play PS2 games, nothing else. And there's no gamers here!

And how can I set up a club? :?

You play DS too?

You need a willing venue (community halls and schools are good for this), you then shove out flyers advertising an event (you can use your drawing skills for this)
Maybe have a competition/tournament or something, to attract people into it - if everyone that comptetes pays $5 or something - then the winner gets a cut of all of the proceeds, minus what it has cost you to hire your place.
You can try to set up a club at your school as well - you'd be surprised how many 'closet gamers' there are.

Yeah, I play my DS when I'm really bored.

I don't go to school...

Groups for Aspies are rubbish in Britain too. There is one in MK, but it might as well not exist. It is for the parents, not the actual Aspies, and it hasn't met up for well over 10 months now. I am getting really fed up... I have met 1, and only 1 Aspie at college! :(

How frustrating... I don't really know the person, He just comes to the equal access forum at my college (where we all discuss disability issues.)

Eh? People are the same no matter where you go, there's just more of them in some locations.
