Obsessions

I just wanted to know if anybody on here has any obsessions that they'd like to share with others. I'll start with mine: Nintendo Games. There are specific games that interest me. For example, my most recent obsession is with Super Smash Bros. (a beat 'em up with Nintendo Characters). Yes, I know it's been around for ages but I've only recently owned a copy. So, if anyone has any obsessions they'd like to talk about, please tell me.

I am obsessed with the internet (well, maybe I just like it a lot) and I also like video games a lot (although I sometimes don't have a lot of time to play them).

I have a Nintendo Wii! (I know it sounds vulgar!)

umm i'll reluctantly and a little sheepishly say totem tennis...

I guess you could say I was obsessed with 'Gear' - technical bits and pieces and equipment from any activity I am involved in. As I do alot of mountain stuff, this is usually stuff like Rucksacks, Ice Axes, Crampons, Harnesses, Boots, Waterproofs. I play a valuable part in my walking club as the equipment officer at the moment so its all put to good use .

I often have a thing for Star Wars as well, but it appears to have gone away the last few months.

By now everybody here knows my two main interests (obsessions): cats and Roger Bannister, in that order. Cats have been a constant in my life.

I could say that's a lot of obsessions but then I've had a lot of obsessions over the years. Starting with an obsession with television (and certain television programmes like Power Rangers, which I'm not obsessed with anymore because it's too repetative) Pokémon (Yes I know that the TV show was very repetative but you know, I liked that sort of stuff). The Pokémon obsession got me to buy a Game Boy Colour and Pokémon Red, and now I'm obsessed with Video Games like Zelda, Mario Kart, Sonic, and now Smash Bros.

Star Wars for the longest time, 5th grade until I started high school really.

That led to an obsession with trading card games, starting with Star Wars and going on to Magic and currently with VS System and Heroclix. Sometimes it gets to the point where I try to design my own, and I reorganize my collection a lot.

I sort of have an obsession with pro wrestling. Even when I don't feel like watching I play the old N64 WWF No Mercy game a whole lot. And probably the most obsessive thing of all, I keep track of the championship history of my game in a spreadsheet.

I guess I do it as sort of a fan fiction "this is how I would run the WWF" kind of thing.

For the past five years I've been building an encyclopedic knowledge on comic books.

My obsessions (in no particular order) are:

Walking.
Trains.
MG cars.
Music (Supertramp especially).
The book 'Yes Man' by Danny Wallace, which I have read more times than i'd care to remember).
The Internet.
Interesting buildings.
The human mind.

I wrote a big chunk of my Master's thesis about that.

Oh, let's see.

- Music, in terms of gear and in terms of thinking up music (and figuring out how I'm gonna get it on tape).

- Getting a girlfriend. Well, I finally got one and I just lost her this week. But one's better than none!! !

- That's about it.
