Tomorrow night (Sunday), Nick News, a news-related show on Nickelodeon hosted by Linda Ellerbee, is airring a special on autism. The special itself is called Private Worlds: Kids and Autism. Here is the program information:

"Examining autism through personal stories of what it's like to live with the condition. Also: a segment on how children diagnosed with the condition can function in society."

I've seen this program before and it is very trustworthy, so they won't be making fun of autism or anything. This special airs at 8:30 PM EDT and will be shown again three hours later on Nick Too.

This is good, finally some positive coverage for us. I do not have the appropriate computer ware to obtain it, but could someone post the link to the show on these forums, for those on here who don't have access to nickalodeon?

Sorry, but I don't have that kind of technology. The most I can do is record three minutes of it on my digital camera, but the quality is really crappy.

That Nick News special was so good, I wish I could've taped it. It reminded of the MTV one (they interviewed a severely autistic person, an autistic savant, and an aspie) but the age group was probably elementary and middle school aged kids.

They did an MTV episode about Autism?
Well there go my chances of being on TV because of my AS :(

Serously, I thought the Nick News episode was great, but I wish they went into more detail about AS.

I thought it was quite good. I wish I could have taped it, because I think I fell asleep during part of it. What I saw, though, seemed pretty positive.

I thought it was very good, too. However, I'm getting really tired of just seeing males portrayed for AS. It's different for females, and I'd like something I could relate to for once. Anyway, I also thought Linda Ellerbee did an excellent job. I didn't get the episode recorded, but I'll try next time it's on. I know there was also another episode I saw a couple years ago that mentioned AS a couple times, too.
