I ran across the European criteria for Paranoid Personality disorder, and I realized I that I meet all the symptoms listed, except for the last one. NOTE: it is only true about EUROPEAN criteria and NOT about American one. Because American criteria was focusing on things like thinking that others are trying to harm you, which I don't do. But European one was focusing a lot more on misinterpretting people's intentions, and this is what I am doing all the time.

So could it be an aspie thing to meet the European description of Paranoid Personality disorder? Because aspies were always put down due to lack of social skills so their bad experience would teach them to read negative remarks between the lines. On hte other hand, htere is no reason for aspies to believe any of the things mentioned in American description about anything "literal". But I can easilly see that Aspies would meet European description.

European Description for Paranoid Personality: http://www.mentalhealth.com/icd/p22-pe01.html

American Description for Paranoid Personality: http://www.mentalhealth.com/dis1/p21-pe01.html

How about yourself? Do you meet any of these two descriptions?

I fit all of them except for E and G.
Though it does seem rather broad.

I fit a lot of the symptoms but I really don't think I'm paranoid. I've just been burned a lot so I'm cautious.

I fit enough of the European ones to fit that definition, but not the American one (I fit #3 on the American one...but then I've actually had that happen to me, so I'm not sure it's "paranoid" to be scared of it happening again).

I don't meet enough of the diagnostic criteria to quite be either, but I was raised by a highly paranoid mother and some of it rubbed-off on me. Also, I was bullied some, so there's sensitivity to how people may view me.
