My life used to be crazy. I have come to appreciate the mundane and predictable. Routines are so nice. Change has never been good.

My interests give me excitement enough. My children and grandchildren give me enough excitement.

I have to be honest, I'm sick and tired of people telling me to "get out of my comfort zone." I'm old enough to know what I like and don't like, and I'm quite happy with my special interests and "lightweight" socialising at friend's homes etc. I get plenty anxious enough as it is without the challenge of new people and places all the time. I don't want or need to be "excited", I prefer to feel "satisfied".

What I find boring? Going to social events where I end up on the sidelines because it is too noisy and I don't understand the social interaction. I don't call that "fun" or "exciting" at all.

You can make your own excitement, go to strange places, read strange books

Yes, because I do live the same boring stuff every day. I don't have special interests, I have a small amount of interests I'm not really interested in most of the time, that I keep doing anyways because it's extremely hard for me to engage myself in self-propelled searching for things to do. For instance, I keep meaning to pick up reading once again, I've gone to the library and taken out a book in a series I want to finish reading, but because 'reading' is not one of the things I'm doing right now, it's hard for me to start doing it.

My life is boring because I have no job, no money, and everything sucks. I have plenty of ideas for things to do, but no way to do them. I don't need excitement. I just need money and a real life.

Money would definitely buy me happiness, because most of the things that make me unhappy are the result of being poor. Being poor is entirely too stressful. Soon I won't even have a car that works to look for a job. Public transportation here is a joke.

Excitement really is just a matter of personal opinion, anyway. Some people might find it exciting to get a new book and read the entire afternoon.

Though attributed to the Chinese, there is no proof it originated there, there is an old 'curse.'

"May you live in interesting times."

And, I agree that money would by a better frame of mind. It would ease my burdens, allow me to move to a place conducive to better mental health and indulge completely in my special interests.

That would make me very happy indeedy.

Between my ever changing temporary obsessions and my special interests, I am quite OK with the level of excitement in my life. Lucid dreaming experimentation has been an adventure so far, and my recent research on autism to help me understand my condition has definitely been very interesting. The rather small amount of social interaction I do provides all the unpredictability I can handle on a daily basis, and getting into the whole flirting and dating thing is already pushing me way past my comfort zone. I definitely don't need any more of that.

I'd wear a dog collar and say 'yes ma'am' to you ;)

Well, I'd say 'yes ma'am' just because of how I was raised.

Couldn't wear a dog collar because I can't stand things on my neck.....but maybe I'd give you a plaque that says I would pretend to wear one for you.

Edit: I could always Photoshop one on me in a picture that told you what a 'ruff' day I was having.....

My idea of excitement is a good book, while eating steak and pasta with tomato sauce and primavera vegetables.

Many people find me boring because I don't like to go out and "have a good time."
