I wrote to the council about a group called the "Peer Connections Group" today who help people on the Autistic Spectrum, who our social worker advised us to contact.
I asked them what they do and got this reply back:
"We are a Campaign and Signposting group fro service users who are struggling to help themselves in achieving better access to those services. We provide them a voice into the type of tailored service of the organisations they require.
As you may be aware, these normal everyday services include HEalth, Wellbeing, Education, Employment, Transport, Emergency Services etc, are not "one size fits all."
We are there to assist to break down these barriers."
I don't understand anything that they've written. I think it's written in council management speak. I'm not trying to be facetious, but could someone please provide a translation of the above that I would understand?
Thank You grin emoticon
