Hey, if it is not publically viewable yet, could you please let me know? Please come back and check it later. If it's not, I will post to announce it when it is, OK?

Thanks!

:(

I guess I'll just announce when it's up. I've got the three parts up on YouTube under the whitetigerdream account, but I could only consolidate them into one long video on Revver. It's 14 mins total and the YouTube limit is 10. Still, if you type in: http://www.youtube.com/whitetigerdream you can watch all three parts, albeit one by one.. piece by piece.. **sigh!**

I have CAPD and had a hard time understanding your voice. It would be nice to read a transcription.

Thanks!

Just finished watching it. I thought it had a lot of good info in there! I liked the triangle explanation. Out of curiosity, why did you decide to do it?

Oh, I did notice a few places where it seemed like the video jumped-like you were saying something interesting, but then the video cut it off and you were talking about something else.

I'm a new videomaker, so I make mistakes with transition and lighting quite a bit. I'm learning as I go along though. I did this to help educate the public and to have fun. It was a blast to do, actually! I'll be happy to produce a transcript also, but it may take me a while. Thanks to all!

It is definitely up and happily running...

Hey Laura,

It came up for me. I don't know if it is because of what you said, but I literally HATE stores that shift everything around for no reason! I couldn't imagine them staying in business, I hate it so much. Sometimes I have switched stores because of it. It sounded like you are saying that hatred is an AS trait. I am not stuck into routines as much as I was as a kid, or even into my 30s. I guess I have SOME communication impairments if you talk about body language, inuendo, etc... And I definitely have social deficits.

BTW I like your attitude, voice, etc... I think you did well.

Steve

I liked it. Especially the part about the triangles.

I always get so confused when a teacher moves the desks in a classroom.
My 2nd class teacher dose this everyday, and I feel, and perform horrible in her class because of this.

Very good :) I think you did a good job covering everybody.

I'm not sure what sensory problem I have. I have a problem with certain noises like clicking, ticking, ringing beeping, abrupt noises. Every time I get a text I feel like I’m being zapped. I’m going to get an alarm clock that works on light. I can’t cope when the TV and radio/stereo/whatever is on at the same time or when there is a lot of cross talk. Also don't like it when people bombard me with instructions I can take them in. I don't get why people put to sounds on the same time. Like when I was at a friend’s house watching TV and his g/f put on the stereo at the same time. I was getting really confused about to blow a fuse. Probably the reason why I left everything behind. Why to people do that? Like what is the point of having the TV and stereo on at the same time?

I hate how stores always move things. I have a special shampoo I buy from boots. I can't find it, they can't find it. It is ridiculous every time I go there

Is that considered a sensory issue connected to AS? That sounds like me, except I wonder if it's for the same reasons (and I just try to move away from the sound or shut one source off, I don't usually get mad).

I get distracted if there's more than one conversation going on at once (and to a lessor degree if it's a conversation + music). Like if I'm giving instructions to a student at work, and then another two people start talking right next to me, I almost completely lose track of what I was saying. Same deal with a conversation when a TV is on, or having a radio and TV on. I can't fall asleep if a TV is on-the high pitched sound it makes bothers me, and even more, my brain won't "shut off" if it hears the voices. I also can't read if a TV is on (or people are talking). I didn't have my PSP with me while I was waiting for an oil change, and just had a book to entertain myself with. Because they have a TV on in there, I think I got through 4-6 pages (if that) in 30 minutes. I keep having to reread things, because it's like I don't understand them...have to manually go through each word almost. (I don't have any problem with reading, believe me! It's just the second sound that screws me up.)
In fourth grade a teacher always put on a radio with music during class. It was supposed to be a "reward", and EVERYONE except me LOVED it. I couldn't concentrate with it, and it drove me nuts. People were ticked at me when I complained, and the teacher tried to move me to the opposite side of the classroom from the radio (which was better than nothing...)

Me either. If people say a whole bunch of steps at once I start getting confused, and kind of miss the whole thing. If it's with my mom, I just ask her to tell me ONE THING AT A TIME, or else write it all down. At work, I try to write it down (I always have my Palm or a pad of paper with me), and/or I repeat stuff back to make sure I got it.

This stuff isn't related to AS, is it?

Hey, thank you everybody! This is some great feedback. They say that if you've seen one aspie.. well, you've seen one aspie!

Each of us is SO different, for the most part. The sensory issues are different for everyone I know, although similar for some of us.

I have pretty much all of the issues you have all brought up here. The worst is when you are trying to talk with somebody on a moving bus. I can't understand a word!!

Hi Laura, thanks for the videos, edit your first message to put the correct link while you get the revver one working
