I have them all except the great memory part. Though I will remember certain facts and odd things forever, especially in the areas I'm very passionate about, but don't have much of a short-term memory at all. :(

Hmm odd.. anyone else often have trouble putting your memories in chronological order or even being able to tell when something occurred?

I have 1, probably 2, usually 3, and definitely 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, and I don't know about 10. I wouldn't say my memory is terrific. My long term memory is good, but my short term memory is pretty bad. I can't remember precise details or Pi to the 100th decimal.

I wish I could forget to eat. I might drop a few lbs. Not that I really care, nevermind.

I have most of those traits, when it comes to memory I have great longterm, I can remember my toddler years but my short term is aweful. Every day can blur into the next sometimes. I blame my short term on ADHD.

I can remember colors, smells, visual stuff very clear but for some reason I can't remember faces well, if at all.

I can see lots of that in myself. I am unsure about the wording of 7 though, since as it says, I don't care about 'fashion' and outward appearance, but I like having all of my own stuff, and if I need something I buy it - therefore, I am still materialistic, just not in so much of what is maybe NT materialistic.

I tend to have poor working memory (to use a more technical term) but good for long term things.
I am always forgetting to eat, but I attirubte some of it to uni stress.
Forgetting to eat doesn't help lose weight sadly, I find I just eat more at later meals, or out of desperation get take out or end up bingeing whole tube of pringles etc.

1. I used to NEVER lie. I could say it is rarely now.
2. I USED to live in the moment. I can't afford it all the time anymore. 8-(
3. I didn't judge based on many standards others care. Now I judge on more than before, but still less than most.
4. I don't think I could have been called passionate.
5. YEP. I'm not tied to social expectations either. If I was, I'd REALLY be in trouble!
6. I guess you could say that I have a good memory.
7. Well, I'm less materialistic. I never wanted to be a millionare, etc... NOW, I just want to retire in peace.
8. YEP, I used to NEVER play any head games of that nature. NOW it is just to counter others.
9. I used to have NO hidden agendas. NOW, they are just to counter others.
10. who knows.

Fraya,

It IS odd. I can't really visualize per se, but I DO "see" the environment around the area, perspective, etc... I can sometimes even remember how I would have felt about something, etc... I can use that to narrow things down to a certain time.

I have all of them, in a way. Well, maybe not 5. Actually, I'm always trying to fit in. :P

yes- i also have alot of trouble remembering when things occurred -i'll think something that was 2 wks ago was 6 months ago or vice versa and am always surprised to find out different. And alot of my childhood memories are in large blocks of time that span several years.

Other than the memory thing, I am pretty much as described. I am cooler than I thought! Yeaaaaa, auties/aspies!

I'd say about half of these are true of me. The good memory part is particularly true. I rarely lie.

I don't live in the moment and I do make some judgments, but on people's character, not on attributes they can't help. Also, I can't imagine myself providing an opportunity to anyone for "greater understanding."

I find number 10 quite sad. It sounds like something you'd say just before giving up on your child entirely. I'm glad my parents didn't accept "is," and hung on to what "could be."

I have four and nine.

When it comes to lying, I'd much rather say a white lie than the blunt honest truth. I really hate it when people are blunt towards me, so I try not to be to others.

As for the memory thing, I think like most of us, I'm really good at memorizing some things, but not at all others. Although I am extremely detail-oriented. I often notice things others wouldn't even think of! :)
