Others with autism are very good at remembering faces.
My ability to recognize faces does seem to be a bit below average and I am occasionally greeted by people I don't recognize who know me but I usually have no trouble recognizing people. What I'm talking about is if for example I wanted to think of an image of my best friend's face like if I wanted to draw him or describe him to somebody, I couldn't just think of his face without it being a specific instance in which I saw him. If he wore something different and got a haircut then I would still recognize him no problem.
