I've been harassed for staring into empty space. I wasn't being remotely disruptive. I was just sitting extremely still and silent.

No reason at all really. People would beat me up in school because they said I was 'different'. Yes, there were times where I knew what it was, but a lot of the time people were extremely hostile towards me right out the gate.

Me too - for exaclty the same thing.

Also, I got into trouble the other day - a man in a big Bently car was forcing his way out into the road I was driving down. He was supposed to give way and I was doing 40mph so letting him out wasn't safe or practicle. It was warm here so our car windows were down and his. He shouted 'Thank-you' and I didn't know what for so I just did my go-to response for someone saying thank-you and said 'No problem' and smiled at him wondering why he was being so nice. Then my son told me he was annoyed because I didn't brake and let him out and he was being sarcastic. He came out the turning after me and chased me down the road. So I just wound up the windows and ignored him. Eventually he turned in a different direction. I don't really understand what I did wrong. It wasn't safe to let the guy out. My son said 'don't worry about it mum- he's an idiot'.

For not maintaining eye contact, which gave them the assumption that I wasn't paying attention. Or for actually looking at them but my eyes look empty as if I'm daydreaming or something (usually not, but it's just how I look unfortunately)
