i have lots of energy, and read posts about people having mini trampolines in the house, always wondering if i should invest in one. It would probably help me with my sleep, my meltdowns, my mind, a lot. Does anybody else have a mini trampoline in their house? or where i can find one that holds up to 100lbs, i'm only 94lbs? or have any advice to offer about mini trampolines?

I like mine..I don't use it much though.
My folks just bought one that has a bar you can hold onto. They love it.

I have a mini-trampoline and love it! I have a smallish apartment and live in a brutally cold environment. I love to run/play but sometimes I am confined to indoors due to conditions. A mini-trampoline is perfect for 'nervous energy' and fun - feels like swinging. Yes, many adults use mini-trampolines for fitness and this is a good choice.

You can buy one at most department stores, such as Wal-Mart (yuck..I don't like Wal-Mart) or similar. They're inexpensive too - I found mine for ~ $35. So, turn on the music (LOUD) and jump!

I hate headaches so a combination of a trampoline and a low celling would be a nightmare for me.

I like going for long walks with my wife's dog, I even go out in cold weather. But if it rains I am less motivated to walk the dog. I tend to wear two coats and sometimes a pair of pajama trousers under my normal trousers to keep the heat in. The dog then needs to be put in a dog coat. I then sometimes will walk the dog for miles.

I like swinging, sometimes if I get the chance I will go on a swing in the park. I like to swing higher and higher until I can see over the top bar when I am at my highest point. As mvv/2 = mgx you can imagine that v can become rather high.

vv/2 = gx

vv = 2gx

v = square root (2gx)

So when I have x so large I can see over the top bar, v is large so when I choose to stop swinging it takes ages before I can come to rest.

Mine doesn't. I understand about balance problems - for me, when I'm moving I'm ok. Swaying or stimming when I stand offsets this problem too. But adding a rail should be very doable. Another idea: Just make one - easy enough. You could probably attach one (welding? Just kidding) or set up something safe. Even situating it in the corner where walls serve as balance.

Safety should be the priority so maybe buy a mini-trampoline with a rail.

"High ceilings?" Yes - hadn't considered that. I'm just 5'3" though. My apartment is fine with ceiling height and mini-trampolines are low to the ground. But if one is TALL....oh no!

ohh i loved taking walks with my dogs, use to talk two walks a day, it was amazing therapy and pulled me out of my autism world the most. I use to take my retired greyhound all the time now shes too old with arthritis keep take long walks. My other dog is not trained and walks like hes on speed and crack lol back and forth, hopping, randomly barking, drooling, just not the best dog to walk, if somebody trained him yes, but nobody does so i cant take him. But yea i totally agree walking dogs is a great thing!

Hmm yea maybe i can ask somebody to make a rail, but do u know where i can find a trampoline with a rail by any chance? i need soemthing to hold on to not just for balance because somehow ill jump myself into oblivian and not care where ill land, unless im holding on lol, so yea safety first hehe. I'm also 5'3 hehe.

I have a mini trampoline. It helped me lose a lot of weight and strengthen my legs. Wherever you buy gym equipment you can buy one. Could get some cheapish ones on ebay.

I have a mini trampoline in my sensory corner, which also includes a small tent full of blankets, and a swinging crow's nest chair. I bought mine on Amazon, they have a lot of different options there. Mine came with a stability bar, because I wasn't sure how easy it would be to bounce on such a small frame, but I ended up not putting it on because it was a lot easier to use than I thought it would be. I love bouncing on it while listening to music, it's a good way to alleviate pent-up "stimmy" pressure.
